Urgent Requirement for Asst Manager Sales (Tea Division ).

Experience 3-5 Years

Responsibilities
To generate sales by ensuring proper and exhaustive coverage within the territory. The jobholder is required to analyse the performance within his territory on a regular basis, evaluate the potential within the territory and ensure that the coverage by the sales executives is wide and exhaustive. He is required to identify distribution points, whole sale dealers and appoint sales executives in consultation with the superior to ensure wider coverage, including suburbs, rural areas and outstation areas. He is also required to ensure that the whole sale dealers appoint the requisite number of sales men, and provide them with requisite briefings and training.( classroom & Infield )

The jobholder is also required to ensure the retail service level.
To generate sales by executing and co-ordinating various field level activities at retail & wholesale level. The jobholder is required to prepare an annual plan for sales targets, based on which he is required to plan and budget the advertising and promotional inputs required. Some of the marketing inputs would be expenses on point-of-sale materials, trade schemes, model shops, dealer boards, wall paintings etc. for his territory. The jobholder is also required to ensure that these promotional materials are used optimally both in the field as well as at the whole sale dealer points. He is also required to verify the expenses done through WD for the local activities & ensure the debit notes are sent immediately after the scheme/ activity is over.

To ensure that the channel partners/ trade partners purchase and stock according to their respective potential. The jobholder is required to convert non-buying retailers to buying retails. He is also required to ensure that there is brand presence for all brands in the outlets. He is required to ensure the visibility at the outlets against competition (Shelf space). He is required to check the WDs finance invested in our business every month to ensure that market does not suffer. The same to be reported in his town report.

To ensure that the level of inventory of stocks and merchandising items is maintained at an optimum level. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that the distribution is proper, timely and as per requirement. He is also required to ensure the freshness of stock and the lifting of the damaged stocks from the outlets.

To lead and motivate the front-end sales team and the channel partners. The jobholder is required to continuously upgrade and build the knowledge base of the TMS, sales executives and channel partners by sharing information on the various activities initiated by the Company in the market and by sharing information on the Competition. He is also required, to guide them on the day to day activities, based on the activity details of the Sales Executives and feedback received from TMS for e.g. by ensuring that they make regular calls, by checking on the sales calls and providing feedback on the same, etc.

To generate reports and MIS. The jobholder is required to submit monthly and weekly reports to his superiors (SM, ASM), ( In case of upcountry markets, the reports to be sent before leaving the each WD point ) informing them on the Performance of the area, activities undertaken in that area, activities of the competition in the area etc. For this the jobholder required to conduct spot tests, analyse sales calls, analyse competition sales, under stand the stock pressure level vis-à-vis competition brand etc. He is also required to coordinate & follow up with the administration on WD related issues like dispatches, debit notes etc. He is also required to ensure the proper stacking of stocks & POSM at WD point & to follow FIFO system.
